As a Diagnostic Radiographer, you will be an integral part of this vision. 
 
 Duties and Responsibilities
 
You will be expected to achieve a high standard of performance as a Diagnostic Radiographer, while you deliver on the following broad job requirements. Moreover, you will be required to work in accordance with the codes and relevant guidelines of your professional licensing body. The successful candidate would report to the Clinical Practices Manager. Duties include:
•               Operating the diagnostic imaging equipment at SGMC including the CT and MRI.
•               Ensuring an efficient patient flow through the diagnostic imaging procedures at SGMC as part of an interdisciplinary team
•               Mastering protocols and procedures necessary for imaging studies and performing prescribed imaging studies according to such protocols
•               Implementing routines to ensure correct management of patients; being responsible for booking procedures
•               Working closely with the Radiologist and clinical team in assessing clinical findings of performed studies, and if needed recommending further investigations
•               Handling of images from CT/MRI to the Radiologist to enable safe and efficient image reporting
•               Ensuring satisfactory service of image reporting to patients
•               Continually assisting in quality assurance procedures for the CT and MRI regarding image, quality and other dosimetry parameters 
 
Qualification, Skills & Experience
 
•               Experience: Ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience.
•               The Diagnostic Radiographer must have knowledge of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner, the use of Computed Tomography (CT) Scanner preferably SIEMENS and be good with cannulation.
•               Education: Degree, Diagnostic Radiography of an approved University.
•               License/Certification: Certified Diagnostic Radiographer by the Ghana Allied Health   Professional Council (AHPC) or temporary certification for recent graduates, as well as a member of the Ghana society of Radiographers (GSR).
•               Candidate must be ready to learn and familiarize themselves with working in a multidisciplinary environment
•               Ability to work in a team

As a Radiation Therapist, you will be expected to act according to SGMC’s vision as a Centre of Excellence and contribute to a professional and pleasant atmosphere both between colleagues and in patient relations. Moreover, you will be required to work in accordance with the codes and relevant guidelines of your professional licensing body.

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will be expected to achieve a high standard of performance as a Radiation Therapist, while you deliver on the following broad job requirements. The successful candidate would work under the direct supervision of the radiotherapy team lead by:

 

·         Delivering radiation treatment to patients; following the radiation Oncologists prescription and dosimetry plan as well as be responsible for written documentation and electronic charting.

  • Simulates treatment set-ups according to the Oncologists instruction.

·         Providing education and emotional support to patient and family members as well as help in the management of treatment side effects.

  • Working together with the Physicist during treatment planning procedures
  • Accurately delivering the prescribed course of radiation therapy.
  • Warming up Linear accelerator and checks all safety and operational procedures.
  • Checking the laser positioning to ensure proper alignment.
  • Verifying patient doses through the use of diodes and an electrometer and reports any discrepancies to physicist.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Qualification, Skills & Experience

·         Experience: Ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience.

·         The Radiation therapist must have knowledge of linear accelerators and use of Mosaiq for Radiotherapy patient documentation and treatment administration, preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience.

·         Education: Graduate of an approved school of Radiation Therapy.

·         License/Certification: Certified Radiation Therapist by the Ghana Allied Health     Professional Council (AHPC) or temporary certification for recent graduates, as well as a member of the Ghana society of Radiographers (GSR).

·         Candidate must be ready to learn and familiarize themselves with working in a multidisciplinary environment

Duties and Responsibilities
 
You will be expected to achieve a high standard of performance as a client support officer while you deliver on the following broad Job requirements, the details of which will be provided to you in your job description:
The Client Support Officer (CSO) provides administrative and logistical support for SGMC’S Case Management Department. The CSO’S work ensures that Case Coordinator and Manager can help SGMC patients achieve the best possible treatment outcomes, and that patients can access the SGMC facility and complete their treatments with efficient support for their administrative and logistic needs. 
Key requirements include excellent verbal communication skills, must be multi-lingual with emphasis on English and French, demonstrated organizational and administrative skills, ability to coordinate resources and to work well with a wide range of people in a fast paced environment. Additionally, critical thinking and problem solving skills, and very good end-user-computing skills. You will have overall responsibility for ensuring that logistical and administrative support is provided by:
Managing patient reception area: handling telephone and email enquiries, greeting and receiving patients and their families, making them feel welcome and acquainting them with the various processes and units that they will encounter as part of their treatment at SGMC.
Handling patient requests and enquiries: always attempting to first assist in handling enquiries before transferring calls/email information requests-and ensuring that clients receive necessary attention and interaction in their time with SGMC.
Providing the Case Managers with administrative and organizational support in requesting and processing patient medical appointments, following through on meeting patient needs around medicines, consumables and related treatments.
Helping the Case Management Department to transition patients out of their cancer treatment cycles by keeping medical records up to date, and provide accurate billing and follow-up information.
In the event of the death of a patient, ensuring that the family receives compassionate understanding, as well as practical logistical support for the repatriation of mortal remains-including help with completing requisite paperwork, and obtaining necessary approvals.
Complying with all necessary international protocols and statutory obligations related to oncology patient care in Ghana.
 
Always being customer-focused: striving for excellence in service to all customers in every aspect of the SGMC Centre’s work and mission.
Demonstrating positive Teamwork: Interacting effectively and building respectful relationships within and between units and among individuals.

Qualification, Skills & Experience
Educated to relevant degree/diploma or equivalent.
Must be multi- lingual. French and English is a must. 
Ability to deal with confidential issues.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service role
Similar experience within a healthcare setting, experience of using a patient  administration system and understanding a range of work procedures associated with outpatient department arrangement.
Excellent communication skills to communicate to patients/families via the telephone or face to face.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff and volunteers on a face-face basis when working in an outpatient reception area.

 Sweden Ghana Medical Centre (SGMC) is a pioneering start-up in the specialized healthcare segment of oncology. We want to be the leading innovator in our field, with skilled employees who are motivated to deliver the best patient outcomes for our clients. We are based in the East Legon Hills and we offer imaging diagnostics (MRI and CT), chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Right now SGMC is seeking a medical physicist with an interest to be trained as a dosimetrist (Dose Planner) to join the oncology unit.

 

As Medical Physicist / Dosimetrist you will participate in the generation of treatment plans and assisting with patient treatments when appropriate, in addition to providing physics support for routine external beam treatments. The post holder will be primarily responsible for providing radiation oncologists with physical data for delivery of radiation treatments, and creating dose plans for the patients treated at SGMC. He/she will be an active member of the oncology team that deals directly with patient treatment planning, evaluation and delivery. Job also includes:

·   Developing routines and procedures for radiotherapy in close collaboration with radiation oncologist

·         Developing methods/devices to facilitate treatment prescriptions.

·         Providing Medical physics support and advisory services

·         Ensuring facility design/radiation protection and quality assurance

SGMC has an ELEKTA Synergy Linear accelerator, and we use Oncentra and Mosaiq for planning. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience. Position requires Master’s Degree in Medical Physics with 3 years or minimum of 5 years in a related discipline.
